Tacoma Venues

Tacoma’s vibrant urban core is alive with culture and the venues you find here are proof of that. You can find yourself surrounded by creativity and city sophistication when you eat, shop and stroll around the different areas of Tacoma. The friendly city inspires many to celebrate the melding of old and new, with historic architecture, amidst urban design.

The city’s many districts flourish with culture and great venue sites. Stroll the museum district where you can explore art, glass and history and tour venues such as The Tacoma Art Museum and Washington State History Museum. Wander amongst the eclectic mix of upbeat restaurants and music venues on Sixth Avenue and tour venues such as Events on 6th. Shop the unique boutiques in the historic Proctor and Stadium districts, which bustle with foot traffic and boast venues such as Annie Wright School.

Tacoma is situated along the saltwater banks of the Puget Sound. With the stunning natural surroundings, you don’t need to pack hiking boots to enjoy the attractive outdoors. There are beautiful parks and gardens to explore that make Tacoma a nature wonderland. Beyond the land, Tacoma has beautiful beach front areas where kayaking, boating and combing the beaches is possible. It is a beautiful place rain or shine.

Lakewood is a patriotic community that invites you to enjoy some all-American fun. Discover majestic gardens and beautiful lakes and the wonderful venues this city has to offer. Washington State Historic Landmark, Lakewold Gardens, is a large historical mansion surrounded by rare and native plants and is situated on the banks of Gravelly Lake. Also, the historic Thornewood Castle is a beautiful castle located in a neighborhood on American Lake.

Venturing and touring through Lakewood’s historic sites is just one of bonuses to this great city. Lakewood also has a wonderful mix of shops and restaurants to visit in its multicultural shopping districts. From laid-back to active recreation, Lakewood has something for everyone to enjoy!
