We had just finished discussing the weekend ahead when she suggested that we begin sitting on exercise balls at our desks in lieu of office chairs. Somehow, this didn’t surprise us coming from Adrielle, the new owner of Gallucci’s Catering. The use of an exercise ball at one’s desk forces proper spine alignment, causes one to frequently change positions as necessary, and improves one’s ability to balance among other things. These are all things that can easily be said of Adrielle’s expectations within the halls of Gallucci’s Catering.
Gallucci’s Catering maintained all of it’s original key staff members with the ownership change. This allows us to offer the same great product and service that we have become known for over the years. However, as we all know, change is imperative to progress. And change we must. Many new policies and procedures have been put into place that will most certainly ensure proper alignment of our staff, the company spine. A properly aligned staff is a more effective, efficient, and content staff.
Many staff members at Gallucci’s Catering are being cross trained in preparedness for the unexpected. Anyone who has worked a day in the catering world understands that the unexpected is simply to be expected. This will allow us an improved ability to change positions, to bend, when necessary.
The Gallucci’s Catering business office and warehouse is now housed in one 20,000 sf building on South Tacoma Way. Needless to say, we are all extremely happy about this because it allows us to streamline everything (other than the cooking) from one location. What a relief! This offers us the luxury of being able to work side by side, on a daily basis, with a renewed sense of centeredness and balance. We are working together to improve the interior and exterior of the building as well as in organizing our vast accumulation of rental items.
Let’s face it. Sitting on an exercise ball at our desks could be challenging but it sounds fun! Change is a challenge yet it has been truly exciting and fun for us. We are extremely proud of how far we’ve come and all of the work we’ve done at our new location at 2515 South Tacoma Way in Tacoma. We’d love it if you’d stop by for a visit during normal business hours (M-F, 9:00am to 5:00pm) to have a look around. It is a work in progress. But the freshly painted walls, new flooring, added decor, and organized rentals space is looking fabulous.
